Elevate Your Escape

Uplift Your Mood

Anticipating on vacationing can be exciting in itself. The positive feeling of looking forward to planning a trip even if it's next week or next month, can boost your happiness levels. "Travel planning provides an escape from repetitious or mundane routines". says, Paul Simeone. Giving advance thought on a trip is as good, if not better than the trip itself. Taking an intermission from your daily program can be just the thing to transform your mood. Seeing new sights, hearing new sounds, and experiencing a difference of scenery stimulates different parts of your brain such as the hippocampus and the amygdala to help boost your mood.

Reduce Depression

Millions of Americans regularly struggle with depression. Mental health experts says there's research to support the link between travel and overall happiness. A 2020 study from Nature journal states that both men and women who see- a change in scenery on a day-to-day, week-to-week, or even a month-to month basis tend to be happier than those who are surrounded by the same atmosphere for long periods of time. Interestingly, another study from the National Library Of Medicine found that women who vacation at least twice a year are less likely to suffer from depression or chronic stress than women who vacation once every two years.

Refine Your Creativity

Adam Galinsky, a social scientist at Columbia University in NYC found that there's a positive connection between travel and creativity. "Adapting to different cultures often happens naturally and necessarily while traveling can foster your creativity." Personality & Psychology Bulletin published an article stated that living abroad can facilitate a process called multicultural learning, which allows you to solve problems in new ways, increase your awareness of your surroundings, and reduce strictness, which all gives way to the creative side of ourselves.
